I've read that Jawbone's have had some quality-control issues, have you had any problems?

Personally I'm quite partial to the expensive but excellent Sony Ericsson IV840.

It says there that it only works for SOny phones

So I lost my Sony headset and am looking for a new one, which Jawbone (1, 2, or 3/prime) do people recommend?
get the one you had before. DONT change your headset if you likes your old one

It's incorrect, I've used it on many different phones.

Actually it's better for you than holding a cell phone to your head.
The RF and radiation from a cell phone is much stronger than from a bluetooth headset.
The cell phone must be strong enough to pick up a tower miles away whereas a bluetooth headset only has a range of 30 feet.

But who wants to walk around with a corded headset all day long???

Anyway, does anyone have a preference between the 3 versions of the Jawbone?

I loved Jawbone 1 and actually went thru 3 of them!!! That, despite the broken hooks & losing rubber ear molds almost weekly. When number 3 kicked the bucket I decided to try Jawbone 3/Prime. I can only talk about my experience, but I'm very disappointed!!! On almost every call, people are telling me they can't hear me well. I'm using Treo 755P & BlackBerry Curve, so we can't blame the problem on the phone. I'm thinking of trying something new and would appreciate good recommendation. Noise cancellation and "Multi-Pairing" are very important to me. Thanks.
