so what's the non-conventional way?
Don't think that allergy season has hit OH yet, but I'll start taking Quercetin today in case it's coming this week... I take https://www.google.com/search?q=bluebonnet+quercetin&oq=bluebonnet+quercetin&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.7568j0j8&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8 on empty stomach. (This is a repost)
How would I know that its safe or if there are any side effects?
Ask your doctor...
Oh yeah, and if doctor says it's safe, but it's pointless-won't help either-may as well swallow air as it will have same result-won't do any harm but won't do any good-etc.  then please try (on empty stomach for a few days straight) and let me know... It does the trick for me...

Ime the docs are pretty open minded with allergies, they don't have much to offer themselves..

They might be open minded about allergies, but not open minded about supplements... But please post what dr says...

Same techniques some people use with the machla, ... visualization or bringing yourself back to your first memory when  you started to have allergies and then just before to when you didn't have allergies to that allergen.  It is powerful stuff for those who are willing to do the exercises. It doesn't cost money and you don't have to believe in it for it to work (but it does help).    You're not tricking the mind....you are working with it.

iv had them since childhood.

You saying I can think my way out of it? Are there any legal substances that can help with the thought process?

Yes, doesn't matter.
Verrry interesting idea.  Anything that would relax you, even hypnosis or self hypnosis would work to recall info.  For that matter, self hypnosis (ie, self suggestion in a relaxed/hypnotic state) could also work to disarm allergens.

My personal update...
I didn't start when I said I would, rather I forgot/was lazy until the allergies got really bad (over 100 tissues in a day) I then started taking 2 bluebonnet quercetin on empty stomach, and a week later (slow progression for first few days) allergies were practically nil. So, of course I stopped/forgot/got lazy with the quercetin for a week and now allergies back... So, point is - it works for me!!!

Great acupuncture guy in Queens that my neighbor, wife and FIL swear by. I have seen him perform miracles. Its like those 3 litttle needles turn of some internal valves and the allergies are over.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

Going gluten free during allergy season has worked wonders for me. this is my second season doing it and i can tell the difference within a day of stopping to eat gluten. I still take alegra and claritin but the difference is night and day.

I once went to a Chinese guy in Queens for acupuncture and he gave along some no name pills without any info on them and it's supposed to work only with the pills
