I just rented a car from Avis and was charged a 27.00 underage fee even though I'm a USAA member. I didn't have my USAA card on me so they wouldn't waive the fee. Anybody know what I can do about this??

I don't think that usaa works with Avis at all
I believe it's only with hertz
I may be wrong

call usaa. You could've called from the avis location, they would have worked it out for you . 1 (800) 525-7539

The Avis branch that I rented from refused to accept any verification besides me having the physical USAA card with my name on it. When I called Avis HQ they confirmed that they only accept USAA with the actual card as proof. They did say though that I can fax or email in a copy of the card and thereupon they'd remove the underage charge.

Or ill just dispute it (Ink) if its too much hassle.

Note to self: never rent from Avis again. Back to Enterprise! Anybody want my free rental day coupons? Cost price 30.00 a piece. They charged me friggin $36.00 taxes and fees, not worth a thing. I pay about 40 a day at enterprise w/o any taxes or fees or "free rental day" coupons.
