Did they card you when using CC?

my experience is that the computer system at staples doesn't prompt them to ID you when you buy 2 x 200 GC's but for more than that they need a manager and ID. this is useful for your own (אשתו כגופו) CC which happens to be in someone else's name.

it's a hit or miss. If you come up with 10 GC's they probably will get nervous and card you. I did only 2 so maybe they don't check.

the manager brought me out a stack of GCs and let me use 4 amex in each transaction...first he said well cards are not all in your name (didnt ask for ID though), i showed him that most of the numbers are the same, told him that they are all my account, just added users, he said oh i get it now, no problem did 5 transactions of 2x$200 with 20 cards...then bought $100 amazon GC with 21st card
getting $420 statement credit
$100 in rebate GCs
met spend on 2 new delta cards=100k points + ~2165 points
was a great day

Get your parents/siblings to sign up using your referral. I think you will get credit for the referral even if they stop before entering in their bank info.

i just put my own bank info into my fathers account which i opened for him and now i get the extra thousand thru his account

All accounts that meet both the following criteria qualify for a 1099-K and must be reported to the IRS:

More than $20,000 in gross sales from goods or services in the calendar year
AND more than 200 transactions in the calendar year
