I set up a new BAEC number and I applied for the card and was approved. I finally received the card today. Shockingly, it has my old BAEC number!!!!!!! I am pretty certain I had my new BAEC number on the application but maybe I screwed up. I wonder if anyone else is in the same boat. I would be shocked if Chase knew my prior BAEC number and superseded it my new BAEC number. Then again, I would be shocked if I entered my old BAEC, I am really careful about these things!!

Even if there were miniscule chances of getting another 100k before this blunder, it is now a certainty I will not!

How long it was after receiving the card that you received Da Letter?

I am thinking of not even activating the card, calling Chase and trying to kindly ask for at least 50k for meeting the spend. If they refuse, I will have them cancel it on the spot. Then go back into hibernation and take a breather from the latest hyper cc activity & bonanzas!

Thoughts?
here's my experience;
i created a new BA# which i put on my application. did NOT put my chase online login on my application. after the Credit Card was basically approved, it was sent to the partner airline (BA) for review for over 2 weeks (!) now it was finally approved, and is on my chase online accounts. (didn't get the card yet so i don't know what BA account it's linked to)

i wonder if it may be the airline that's doing the verifying... (chase CO churning might still be safe?)

BA is definitely doing some kind verifying. BA emailed me to say that my application was for a US address, but my BA account is registered to a non-US address and I had to update BA before they could proceed. Once I changed it, everything went through. So, BA is doing their due-diligence and I suppose it makes sense they will uncover previous attempts.

Just applied and got instantly approved! X2!
Forgot to apply simultaneously for the Continental card... truth is, got lots of spending to do for now with 2 new BA's and a new citi..
Question: When are the 90 days counted from?

PS. Maybe one of these days, there will be a better CO offer out there....

Instantly approved for two BA cards simultaneously? Doubtful you'll actually get two cards...

I was not instantly approved. Called Chase landing services and lady told me that she cannot approve my application, since I applied for 8 cards in last 12 months (my last app was with Chase in February). I asked to reconsider, but she didn't want to even talk about it - she repeated and repeated that such number of apps is too much and even I have a perfect credit history doesn't mean too much. What should I do?

As an update, it seems Chase is cracking down on the multiple application method. I recently applied for both the BA Visa and CO cards thinking two would be able to get through the application with my relatively good credit. After not being instantly approved, I called Chase a few days later to inquire and was told that both were turned down due to multiple applications at the same time.

I then asked the CSR how to remedy the situation, and he had me select one card to run through. I chose the BA and was approved over the phone upon sharing some of my CL from another Chase card with the BA Visa.

So at this point is it better to apply for the BA card alone or still try and bundle it together with a United card? Is it YMMV or is it flat out no and you create a headache getting the BA card itself by grouping it together with another app?

I applied for a BA card, Hyatt card, and a United card last week with 3 browsers at the same second.

Here's hoping for a hat-trick!

Chase is really tightening , I did the 3 browser method and was told on the phone I was declined because of the number of requests. They then asked me which one I want from the 3 so I said the BA one . I was on hold for about 15 min and she said it is looking good but going for another review. Should I call again for the others or wait for this one to go through? Thanks

I just asked about each card on 3 separate recon calls.  We'll see how it pans out soon enough.
