TR from misrad hapnim this morning
i arrived at 5:40 am, noone was there yet.
at 6 am there were 10 ppl waiting already.
at 8 when they opened the door there were about 40 ppl in line, and the guy behind me somehow found himself in front of me.
he had 5 applications and it took till 10 oclock till they were all finished and approved.
at 10 oclock some "macher" with about 10 applications walked straight in and sat himself down to the great satisfaction of the lady doing the applications. i actually saw her take an envelope and put it in her pocketbook. by 10:30 he was finished, all approved.
at 10:30 the 1 lady working, had to take a break.
at 10:50 she came back, and some other "macher" sat himself down again to her great joy with 3-4 applications, didnt catch the envelope this time, but he was finished at 11, all approved. the way she checked his papers it looked like he could have passed dental records for vaccinations.
all the while, there were 4-5 ladies who were supposed to be working that were just sitting around and shmoozing, laughing and showing each other stuff on their cellphones. no one seemed to care for the tens of ppl waiting to be taken care of, including a man who is living here for 35 years, and his wife is stuck in america for 7 weeks. the poor guy has twin 5 yr olds at home, but i guess there must have been some really important stuff the ladies had to show each other on their phones.
at about 11 oclock i was called in, each paper was thoroughly read line by line, and by 11:30 i had 3 ishurim in my hands.
all in all it was 6 hours of hell, but at least my 80 yr old grandfather can get on his flight tonite.
its these occasions that give ppl like
@ExGingi their attitude towards israel.
