Anyone know of a better offline map for iOS?

On the old maps you used to be able to add a destination clicking a button I think and typing it in.  Now it does not let you do it AFAIK.  The only way I see is to drag the route, but you cannot search say for all walmarts and pick one.  Anyone know how to do this?

You used to be able to say you are going from point A to B and search for all the Starbucks in between and choose one that is closest to your route.

Yeah, definitely not as snappy.

I've been using it for the past few months and hoped that they'd work out all the speed kinks when mass-released. Alas, it turns out they haven't.

Amazing how Google manages to makes things worse with every new version.

The new look (as seen on my android Auto) looks like Waze, watch I don't like!

Not sure who decided that the new design is better in any way. I don't prefer cartoon maps. Also don't understand why they don't at least give you an option to keep the old theme.

I'm not sure why, but I actually like it. Maybe the higher contrast between elements? So far I'm fine with it.

The only objective improvement is the gray roads as opposed to yellow, which makes it easier to discern, but the other coloring is just off and cartoonish.

Likewise, I actually had satellite map turned on until now because I didn’t like the old colors and now I switched back to the regular map since the new colors are much clearer/cleaner and easier on the eye

I find it more useful in unfamiliar places as it will give you much clearer guidance and shows you traffic lights etc. so you know where to turn.

Yes. Waze doesn't always send you on the fastest route.
