I don’t think this is true. Israel was only as successful as they were because they were prepared and had their coalition partners engaged and on high alert.

If Iran gets away with this strike scot free, it’s only a matter of time before they repeat it on a larger scale and exploiting any weakness they might have discovered during this attack.

No US targets were being attacked. Iran went out of its way to make this clear.

US has VERY strong interests in a stable middle east, and (mis)handling Iran has been at the center of that for decades. even if it was only to protect an ally, that in and of itself is to protect its own interests.
