okay so I am clueless when it comes to booking tickets. If I plan on flying from NY to FL sometime in August for a week is my best bet just to buy a ticket or can I get cheaper by "acquiring" miles (avios?) and booking that way?
It depends on cheap you can get a ticket for.
at first glance it looked like $240 round trip per person but came here before looking too much. around what would be the cut off point?
How many Avios points is it?
I believe its 15k RT.
But if I don't currently have a supply of avios then I would either have to calculate it based on UR value (15000 X .018 = $270) which is too much or can I purchase avios or no one would use an account for such small tix? (does that make any sense?)
Ok I've been looking around the forums for a long time, i get alot of whats going on, but tell me this, what is the exact meaning of churning?? I think i know.....but would like to make sure..........Thank You!!
How about a "The best CC ever" thread?
What do you mean?
Points/miles/cash back.
signing up for credit cards u already had to get the bonus again
so you just cancel the old one and apply for the new one?
Yes, or you keep the old one open and consolidate its credit line into the new account once the new account is opened.
or you keep the old one open and leave it alone until it's time for the annual fee, then close it.
