TSA Prechek for minor booked as adult

I am flying with my wife and three minor children. My wife and I both have TSA pre-check. In order to use credit, I made a reservation for one of my minor children (4yo) separately, using an adult DOB. I know that generally minor children can use precheck with their parents, and I believe that the pre-check designation shows up on the children’s boarding pass based on the parents precheck. Will my child on a separate reservation without his own pre-check account still be permitted with us through the pre-check line, even if his boarding pass doesn’t show precheck?

TSA doesn't see what birthday you put on the ticket.

true but that's when it's in the same reservation so the TSA precheck will automatically print on the boarding pass

However, per TSA I quoted above, a 4 year old child doesn't need the indicator on their boarding pass. Only 13 and above. The DOB on the reservation should be irrelevant, a 4 year old should be obvious to the agent as under 12.

I went through precheck with the minor child and didn’t have any problems. BH.
