sorry i forgot the politically correct term for people like my 68 year old uncle who unfortunately suffered from severe brain damage do to childhood illness and although he cannot read ,write,or take care of himself ,and spends his day in a wonderfull institution called siach sod he is a very proficient voter when assisted by family members . or the person i know that is in a semi comatose state and was brought in a stretcher to fulfill the important civic duty
or the 50ish severley autistic person I know.
Is this a thing in the states? I guess theoreticaly family members could register and absentee vote for any developmentaly disabled relative they have?
This isn't about PC it is about common decency toward others.
Developmentaly disabled (as far as i know, the current prefered usage) means exactly the same thing as mentaly retarded.
One's PC, the other isn't.
