$75 fee:

-21+ days prior to departure is based on the departing city time zone, not the booking city time zone.

EDIT: I managed to call in and have them waive the fee when it was within 21 days in departing city time zone but not by booking city time zone

UPDATE: AA has removed all close-in fees

There was a slight change in my flights schedule - 15 min on each leg, do I have a chance of them changing it for free?

Unless it causes a misconnect, no.

Hey, you don't know till you try, ah?

I booked Etihad J to SYD, but now SQ suites opened up... I'm not going to wait and hope Etihad F opens between now and March 22....

That's a tough decision to make. What do you have for the return?

Im flying to LA on the Virgin glitch, and then LAX-LHR on AA J. I'm pretty torn for the trip to SYD, not sure which one to choose...

Flying solo or with someone?

If it was me, I would book SQ R and if EY F a380 doesn't open cancel the EY J, if it does open, cancel the SQ R.

That's a very good idea :) I think I shall do just that!

Called to ticket an EY reservation tonight that was said to be on hold through 11:59pm (have email confirmation stating the same) and learned it had been cancelled at midnight (or sometime shortly thereafter) London time. I quickly grabbed award seats for the flights with what went back into inventory, but was unable to confirm F for one passenger on one segment. AAgent got a supervisor to send a request to the "etihad liaison" and the request is documented on the PNR. What are the chances this will actually work to get the held ticket reinstated and ticketed? Any first hand experience?
note on PNR: "Etihad Liaison regrets; unable to confirm" :-\

Which makes no sense. USA-DOH-JNB is allowed, but not EU-DOH-JNB?  ???

Maybe, but that's how they do it.
