Ordering to International addresses with Amazon

Does anyone have any experience ordering through Amazon to international addresses? Specifically Israel?  I don't want my family to have issues with paying taxes.

Amazon will charge you through the roof. I don't think the recipient will have a problem. Also may get delayed at customs for a little bit

Thanks guys.  Any stores in Israel that I can order online with an American CC that will ship to an Israeli address? Specifically books and toys?

You can also use Buy2.co.il to ship to Israel.
The Amazon order goes to their warehouse, and they take care of getting it to Israel w/ all proper documentation.
You can even enter in the Amazon link into their site, and they'll tell you the cost of either ship or plane shipment.
