Visa® is now the only major credit card accepted at Costco warehouses
As of June 20, 2016 Costco has begun accepting all Visa credit cards both in the warehouse and at Costco gas stations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
American Express® Cards will no longer be accepted.
The following payment types are accepted in our US warehouse locations: all Visa® cards -- including the new Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi -- Costco Credit Cards, cash, checks, debit/ATM cards, EBT and Costco Cash Cards.
For orders placed on Costco.com accepted payment types are: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Costco Credit Card, and Costco Cash Cards.
Additionally, Costco members who want to apply for the Costco Anywhere Visa® Card can now apply at Costco or Costco.com, or by calling 1-800-324-3098 (TTY: Use relay service).
