I'm extremely picky when it come to quality food. I do eat out, but when I do I try to go to places who's food is too difficult/expensive to make at home (like Thai food).

Ditmas is amazing. It's different enough, yet high quality and tasty -- It's a top notch restaurant that one could visit often without having to order the same items at every meal.

There should be places to rent bikes near Fish Grill/Malibu pier. If you want to rent bikes in Santa Monica/Venice you can go to any Perry's location.

When I went, I found a groupon for half price bike rentals near Venice Beach (iirc)

so i called Dovid'l from Western Kosher about Amex small business. even though western is registered he knew nothing about it and theyre not open on motzai shabbos.

anyone have other ideas where to use amex on 11/29? not looking forward to the next 3 months of meshuga 4 sushi on sunday nights;)

If you have a decent amount of cards, and/or you can get others to spend there, tell the owner and he may open up.

You can always donate to an organization.

If you have a decent amount of cards, and/or you can get others to spend there, tell the owner and he may open up.

+1. I don't know the owner, but if they opened their Pico location and posted it in Hilly's there's a high likelihood many people would go.

Did you ask him about numbers in advance? (i.e. they can stay closed but swipe the numbers in time...)

In past years, I went to Shilo's in LA on Motzei Shabbos. They took several cards on site, and a few Amex numbers on paper, too..... Got full GCs in return.

Why just Ariel Market? Why not the Persian stores in Pico or Western?

I'd ask at Glatt Mart (not Pico Glatt), but I doubt he'd want to unless there was enough interest. He need at least a few employees to come in so it might not be practical.

The question is how do we determine how many people would want to do it without posting it in Hilly's?
