Used to be 2.5cpp, 6cpp is insane :(

If it Citi is paying <2cpp, how could they claim a tax basis of 6cpp?

As of last year it was 2.5cpp which on 30K would have been = $750. (anything over $600 gets a 1099 misc). For a while they had offers under 24K to avoid this customer problem (15k for citibank or 20k for citigold) but I guess they went back to the richer offer anyway.

Both - ty points are taxable in the year redeemed, aa taxable in the year received (posted to aa account)

the citi rep. told me, that she does not see anything about 1099's   does it meen anything??
