Which cc is best for a large apple purchase (new laptop)? I know amex had a great promotion at some point a few months ago. Is there anything good out there now?

Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Don't forget to buy it through one of the "shop malls" so you get 2x point

I think that AMEX MR has 6x now, which is great (around a 10% value).
Check their mall.

Anyone use the AMEX mall to to buy and resell stuff? (could be worth it if you don't take such a loss reselling + the 6x points...)

I did :)

You wont be able to make much money reselling on ebay, cuz of the fees, and you are likely to pay sales tax on apple.

I have bought and sold iPhones, and tablets.

Wow! and you didn't mind the loss since the 6x points partially made up for it, right?
I would like to do that bc I have time on my hands now, just wondering if it's gonna lose me too much $$

You gotta be able to sell the items or else you will loose money. Buying on the Apple website you will be paying full price, so you gotta be able to move it.

Apple is selling the 2nd Gen iPad Refurb for $319 + Tax. You should be able to even sell it on ebay and still make a profit.

You did this for the profit or to meet min spends?

Looks like he did it through a portal that gives him 1pp$ plus 5pp$, total x6 points per $ spent.
Looks like that's what he did it for.

PPL will sometimes buy/sell and accept a loss b/c the points earned cover the loss. Then they can meet high min spends.
Hence the question...
