does anyone here who got a marriage license in nyc know which of the 5 locations is my best bet in terms of waiting the shortest, and how long i can expect to wait
I had a great experience in Staten Island.
Brooklyn is only good if you go in muddle of the week. If you go friday be prepared to wait all day
@emkay thumbs up for this thread...
great experience means how long?
No one was there. We had a real friendly judge who officiated our "ceremony" and then he asked to take pictures with us because he respected the Jewish value of marriage.
A little of topic; if rabbi doesnt require legal marriage license, is their a benefit in getting legally married? Right now my wife has a lot more benefits bec shes a "single mom"Also have a friend that went bankrupt on his name and since wasn't legally married, started fresh on wife's name
Yashrus?
you are getting legally married, you just arent filing... most rabbonim are ordained rabbis
