Last nibute tickets to Miami for the weekend

Is there any way to get a good deal on tickets going from NYC (not ewe) to Miami leaving Thursday night (3/31) and returning Sunday night (4/3). The ticket prices are astronomical. Any way to get something cheaper?

But seriously, anyone have any ideas how to get a good deal on last minute tickets. would love to go for the weekend, but i'm not willing to pay $500.

Spirit has cheaper tickets if you're feeling brave.  Beware the bag fees though.

I recently flew Spirit, officially they charge for carry-on, but no one was checking who was bringing carry on or not, so didn't pay anything. I had siblings the flew them too, and also didn't pay.
