Did you put into the merlin app?
Ya, i tried explaining in the app but nothing I recognized came up. Should i download more bird packs?
Spotted on Friday...Baltimore Oriole
Nice! Did you have any food out for it? I keep thinking i should put out for them so we catch them on their way south.
I started putting out craisins a couple of days ago.I keep forgetting to buy more grape jelly.
We spotted a new species yesterday, however we are boggled as to what it was! We don't have a picture to reference, so this is the description as we remember:- They were really small, like chickadee sized- The head was faint yellowish, maybe even olive colored - Chest was white with thin brown streaks - The wings had a pronounced white square looking feather in the middleIt was a pair of them, and they weren't afraid when we came close to the window. I didn't actually see them eating, but they were on the branches next to our suet feeders when we first spotted them.If anyone has any ideas, or good resources (with pics) that we can use to figure it out that would be helpful. TIA
Nice! Did he eat?
Here's a whole setup, feeders included, for $30! Great deal or junk?https://www.amazon.com/North-States-Bird-1862-Birdfeeder/dp/B07YP83LC9/
In stock again. Amazing deal.
Mine is holding up just fine, with the exception of the plastic tube feeder which was destroyed by squirrels
Getting jealous of everyone posting new species , so here's a bee stealing some jelly earlier:
It may be less likely since you saw two, but perhaps they were leucistic? Would you have identified them as chickadees if not for the coloration?
How long do you leave the jelly out for? I always thought it goes bad after a few days, so i only put out a little at a time.
