Thank you for your interest in the Chase Sapphire bonus

The 100,000 bonus points offer was made through a small
direct mail test and is non-transferable. The Offer Code
and Invitation Number included in the mailing can only be
applied to the recipient?s account. If you are not listed
as the addressee of the mailing, we will be unable to
apply the offer to your account. I understand you may be
disappointed and I am sincerely sorry for any confusion.
Please know that we will consider reviewing the terms of
other offers you receive in the future.

and then I replied
I must admit that I am pretty disappointed that you will not match that offer. While I appreciate your offer, I was expecting to be matched for 100k points as many of my friends who recommended the card to me have.
and they replied:
My name is Tamseel and I appreciate the opportunity in
assisting you today.
In response to your e-mail, I understand that few
ineligible customers have received additional 50,000 bonus
points, however this was done in error and these were
subsequently taken away from their added points.
We will be unable to honor the request to apply the
additional 50,000 points offer to your account. As much
as I want to help you, nothing would have pleased me more
than to provide the resolution you are seeking and any
dissatisfaction caused to you is regretted.
