Does anyone know if I can transfer Aeroplan miles to Avios, and what I get per mile.

No you cannot but you can sell them and buy avios how manyaeroplan do you have

I don't know exactly what they go for but that is a large enough amount to be able to sell and I'm sure they're worth more than avios

Perhaps through Points.com?
You can transfer to US Airway at a .85 ratio that way, the last I read.

It is, but their award chart is quite good, particularly on some routes, w/ no fuel surcharges. Hence, it's often a better use the AC miles.
