First 2 cards were spaced a year apart, but I got the 2nd while the first was open. When applying for the 3rd, it was over a year from the 2nd app, and both the 1st and 2nd card had been closed for like 3-6 months at that point too. I'll honestly probably go for a 4th US Air card in probably about 9 months, definitely not before 6 though.

You are assuming in 9 months time the card will still be up for offer

Right, and it's also getting harder to get approved for me with Barclay's b/c I literally..... never use their cards.
I'll focus on the Citi AA cards pre-merger as those are just as close to a sure deal for a churn these days as you can get w/2 every 65 days!

Still not a bad deal.

ETA: It comes out 6.6 points per dollar.
It's actually a bad deal compared to ink + gift card.

I also got this for May, June and July and as of yet the miles have not posted. I called them and they claimed it will take up to 60 days for miles to post.
