It took them about 36 hours to respond to my SM, and I got this....

account. We appreciate the opportunity to ensure you
receive any promotional offers available for your account.

The new offer provides 70,000 bonus points after spend of
$5,000 on purchases in the first three months from the
account open date, however the offer does not provide an
annual fee waiver of $95.00 for the first year. The offer
you were booked into is a different offer of 50,000 bonus
points after spend of $5,000 on purchases in the first
three months and no annual fee in the first year. Also,
we have already added additional 10,000 points on your
account so that you receive a total of 60,000 points.

IMHO, you can always try to SM again if you want, but here's how I score the possible reasons you got the first time:

More than 90 days, no use.
Bold vs. Plus, no use.
Had the 60K offer with waived SM, slight chance.

Thoughts?

Doesn't seem like SM-ing again would be too productive, since they seem to be reviewing the account and prior SMs before responding.

I signed up for a 50k offer I sent a SM they offered me extra 10k but they can't match to 70k

I'm sure Dan only posted it because he knew it was just gonna stick around for a limited time. Chase was bound to shut it down as soon as they realized what was happening.

i posted I was waiting for a DDF link. Dan replied to use the 50k link and get matched. he never would have said that if he believed this was going to be killed so quickly.
