I daven in a chabad shul quit often even-though i am very far from being chabad. I love the shabbos night dancing (is that all chabad?) and singing. I also like the hagbah practice of putting sefer torah back down and rolling it. It is just more practical and simple.
What is a bit more perplexing is the obsession with chasidus and דירה בתחתונים and not much else. I do get the point but its really over focused upon. (I'm sure its good for some, but with a open mind i just don't connect with it).
Overall chabab peeps are amazing with hearts of gold and they bring so much joy to so many remote and close Jews.
