This seller is asking for crypto. I have no idea how to use crypto. He says he buys alaska cards from people and sells at discount. Not sure why he wont take paypal. i'm not comfortable with doing crypto.. There is a chance that these cards are stolen and alaska might shut down account... or he may be completely legit... who knows... I just worried about trading at this point... Plus he has a brand new account which says he is from UK...
This seller is a scammer.
@shiza @TenTen @Lisa77 all are the same accounts. I reported to Dan before and i've not been active lately.
Sorry to see people fall for this trick.
He is from Vietnam and uses VPN and fake CC or stolen CC to buy AS GC. His english is pretty bad.
He sold me AS gc for 50%. I ended up doing buyer protection on PayPal to save myself.
This is what Alaska told me:
Thank you for contacting Alaska Airlines about this matter. The gift cards in question have been disputed by the credit card holder as a fraudulent purchase, and no longer valid.
I did try to reach out to you this morning to talk about this matter, but no one answered.
Alaska Airline isn’t able to offer you a goodwill gesture of reinstating your tickets for free. You can call into Reservations at 1-800-252-7522, and pay the balance of the gift cards to have your tickets reinstated.
Please feel free to share your experience of being scammed by this guy on you forum. We can hope that your story might save someone else these issues.
Thank you for your Loyalty to Alaska Airlines, and for being a Gold member with us.
Sincerely,
Alaska Revenue Protection
