OK so you got the misconception that Hasidic schools don't teach English and that's false
Most schools do teach English which includes
Reading
Math
Phonics
Current events (a newspaper)
Science
And history

There are some schools that object teaching English (the subjects mentioned above) but they are a minority of a minority

All strips of orthodox Jews are teeth and nail against this campaign for one reason
Not because they believe that these subjects shouldn't be taught and the are in most schools, but because from which direction it's coming from

I agree that we shouldn't get a conversation about Trump involved with this topic. All it would do is distract the very people we are trying to show how we are not Neanderthals just because we went to yeshiva.

Change needs to come from within everyone has what to improve and as an outsider you can offer help, but you can't dictate based on your views, otherwise you're like that white persons that ran the BLM campaign and walked off with the money

You got it backwards. In NYC, school lunch is 100% about feeding hungry children.

In beginning of COVID, after the risk was known and was pretty scary based on the limited data, Deblasio vehemently refused to close schools because he was worried poor students wouldn't have food. His words, not mine.

They fact check.

From my personal experience - I've been interviewed for roughly a dozen national publications (including CNBC, LA Times, CBS, BI, CR - never NYT) for dozens of articles and only once (the Verge) has anyone ever called to fact-check.

im not sure about the law in CA but in practice not all private schools teach science, they do however teach English and math in primary.
