I always advise against using OTAs. When something goes wrong, or you need to make changes or cancel, OTAs are often hard to reach, they charge fees for things that are free, and they will give you a hard time for basic things.

I believe Dan mentioned in a post not so long ago that you can cancel all el al international flights (nyc-Tlv) now for a $100 penalty? is that in all classes?

also do they offer fully refundable tickets?

could not find any refundable flights for El AL on expedia or el al website I guess not an option?

IINM if you are silver and also have the fly card, you are entitled to 3 requests to be waitlisted for a Space Seat (and one request for a one-class upgrade), to be cleared at check on a space available basis

does qantas give miles for elal flights credited in O class? I think that is a basic economy ticket? also where can you add a qantas number to the reservation? elal call center and website didn't seem to give that option

If the flight was to/from the US, there's no such thing as basic economy. If it's to/from EU, it doesn't have to do with the fare class. Lite or classic can be branded with any fare class.
