Chase Rewards - Redeem for Child flying alone?

The Chase Rewards website won't let me book a ticket for my 15 year old without also booking an adult ticket. American Airlines (the airline I'm trying to book) does allow a 15 year old to fly alone it's just the Chase travel site won't allow it. Can I just add a few years to his birthday making him 18 when booking? Will they even check at the airport (Do they issue a different ticket for a 15 year old vs adult)? Would I still be able to use his TSA KTN or is that crossed referenced against his birthday when booking? Any help would be appreciated.

If he’s less than 18 ID is not required but if you make him 18 ID will be required so I’d assume making him 18 won’t help. But what about if he’s 17 does the problem persist? Because then he won’t be required to show ID…

Does anyone have any experience with this? My daughter will be 17, ELAL considers her an adult but on Chase she is a minor and I cant book a single ticket. If I change her age to 18 and book the ticket, can I then afterwards call up and switch her age back to 17?
