Which giveaways are you referring to?
Tax cuts, covid checks, unemployment and the like.
Tax cuts means removing less money from people's pockets. Money they earned. It's not a handout. Just because you used to be taking more of a person's earnings and now you're taking less, it's NOT a giveaway.
The first covid checks were necessary because the government didn't allow people to work. But all subsequent covid checks were giveaways I completely disagreed with.
Unemployment insurance is one of the fees deducted from each person's paycheck. I don't know if all the money collected from everyone actually covers the amount paid out. I assume with covid's generous amounts and extensions, it didn't.
