CMIIW This is for existing custom domains, it doesnt create them and im pretty sure you can use gmail for this too
kracked dude - There was a guy selling on the forum IIRC @outsider, granfathered google apps accounts for $100 one time fee. Gets upto 10 emails@
Its a great deal.I currently have my Business email account grandfathered in, wondering if it'll be free for a while, but even if not IMHO it worth the $5 a month Google charges to have your business email on a private domain - giving it a more professional face
There are cheaper ways to accomplish that. I have my email set up to catch-all, and they all forward to my gmail. I have a privatename@bussines.com as a responding email with gmail. Total cost is about $20 with godaddy for first year including ftp storage which I never figured out.
If you use godaddy, their tech ppl can set it up for you for free.I have it forwarded to my regular email account. Also pretty cost efficient. (cost me like 10 bucks for 2 years).
So im fairly confused. If the free outlook option really works why should i not use it? Is it really worth paying the $100 for a grandfathered apps account or $50 a year for a new one? What will i get from google apps that 1&1 mail service or outlook wouldnt give me?
Are you talking about when they show up as read because you opened them in the Reading Pane? here how to fix it http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/make-changes-to-the-reading-preview-pane-HA010356424.aspx#_Toc361132464
I don't see why you can't get an account with IMAP and use with outlook.
I had mentioned that earlier, but the email needs to be hosted somewhere. 1&1 will host one address with a domain. If you need more then that will not work.
1&1 are the cheapest.
