Any shuls in Brooklyn legally opened now ?
My shul is starting to write some guidelines to hopefully open for Shavuot based on what Cuomo said: No kids under 13 allowed and no women. We will use the ladies section to spread out the shul further... nothing is set in stone yet.
Interesting. Do they know something that the rest of us don’t yet? That’s the impression I’ve been getting among shul leaderships in general.
Quotes in a signature is annoying, as it comes across as an independent post.
What day do the services start? Is this for Shavuot?
NY joins the minyan permitted train -https://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/featured/1862695/starting-thursday-minyanim-legal-in-new-york-state.html
Allowing gatherings of up to 10 people makes it nearly impossible to make minyanim. You need at least a little leeway for the guy who wakes up late etc., 12 is doable but still difficult.
This is a start and very meaningful to me. It means that there is a chance that I can daven with a minyan again for the first time since the Monday after Purim. The logistics may be difficult, but I am getting emotional thinking about benching Gomel for BH surviving Covid.
I'm wondering if that could be solved with letting in the first ten people, and having an "overflow" crowd on the balcony or in another section with a physical barrier.
That would be very dependent upon the floor plan and size combined with how many people you are looking to accomodate.
