Can I transfer SPG points from someones acount to my American airlines miles. (Its the same last name but different first name.
What about Amex gold rewards?
I've been denied applications and I would apply under a different family member name and ss #

Amex rewards (MR as they are called) dont transfer to AA at all.

SPG to AA with different names is a little risky as it has worked for some and not for others. The best way to do that transfer is to make sure your SPG account and the other SPG account have the same address and they can call SPG to transfer to your account and then transfer from your account into AA so the names will match exactly.

Amex MR transfers can be done online and names do not have to match.
