Are these fare buckets exactly alike? Do I have to pay the higher price to get the refundable benefit?

If United is showing X9 for a flight, why is Aeroplan only showing 2 seats on that flight? It also disappears totally when searching for flights on and off.

(I actually want to book the flight with Lifemiles, but I was just comparing the space to Aeroplan.)

Oh, so hopefully it will be fixed tomorrow. Seems like I have to wait past 1am EST for my miles to post to LM anyways. New normal.

My miles posted instantly and availability disappeared after logout and login.

For me, it showed availability for 6 and then only for one after logging out and in. Available miles is still 0, although it shows the transaction in the history. I thought it was an LM issue and then I saw that AC has similar issues.

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is no.

Tickets booked with money (as opposed to miles) are cancelable for a full refund up to 24 hours after booking.

I beleive is it cancleable until the next day 1159 pm. Unless booked withing 7 days of travel.
