Author Topic: aeroplan award booking glitch (Read 31172 times)

They called a friend of mine, I wasn't on the phone call but I was sitting next to him. He mentioned the agent said they would honor anything that was already fully ticketed.

If that's actually true or not, time will tell. I'm not sure if they'll give the option of paying the actual amount of points (as there wasn't enough in the account to cover my friend's redemption).

So far just a full refund and points reinstated.

I asked a shaila if it would be permitted to mess around with the script to get the multi city button so that you could book the lower rate and I was told its gneiva.

Its one to take advantage of their sale but its another thing to change how their website responds. The only reason they removed the button is because they didnt have time for a robust fix. Imagine if a store keeper puts an item out with the wrong bar code and as a quick fix they just cover up the old bar code with a new bar code that prices right. if you remove that bar code it is very similar to modifying the script to make the multi city button appear again.

I think there's a diff between a tiny edit to the script that ppl did as aeroplan knew that was easy to do and actually rewriting the code. They could have easily removed the ability to do a mc booking but didn't. I'm sure they knew ppl could change the button name to MC.

Btw for anyone in my boat that transferred points but didn't book, I had success w amex membership rewards support getting over 100k points back in a 24 hour turnaround.

Obviously script hacking is different than a glitch.
