Anyone here planning on attending FTU this April. It Saturday and Sunday. Anyone have any opinions on attending the sessions during Shabbat?

I'm sure if a few frum people sign up we can do Shabbat over there?

Yup. Shulchan Oruch (OC 306 & 307) has a rather emphatic opinion about it. Its a no-go!

This is very enjoyable for me. In fact, it would constitute oneg shabbas

little issue here guys- seems like hilton is sold out...I know they have a block in another nearby hotel but im not sure how close or convenient it will be since I doubt there will be an eruv

I thought they had purchased another block of rooms? Executive floors?

Just checked, there are rooms on executive floors going for $139 a night- around $300 all in for the room with two beds. Its quite a drive from NY- around 4hrs.

If anyone is seriously thinking about attending let me know so that we can organize something...

Sounds similar to the seminar I made. If you follow the discussion here closely there's likely not much you're going to learn...

Based on prior attendees posts about it, a lot of the benefit seems to be the 'off the record' conversations.

I got the same understanding... they have a 'secrets' seminar where they share ideas about award discrepancies and different earning opportunities.
