Lets see if anyone knows
« on: March 17, 2012, 08:13:19 PM »
I am booking a AA flight using BA points.
If I am Alska Mvp Gold will i get 2 free bags?
The reason I think not is because its a reward ticket using Ba points.

If yes, will I be able to put in my Mvp number on a reward ticket?

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

it seems all ba award flights on aa get priority access as I got it when using ba miles on a AA flight
(also I never tried it but when checking my flight details on my yyz-NYC rt ticket it said I get 2 free bags not sure if it actually works as check-in is on aa)

There's an entire thread discussing that, basically its not supposed to carry through but sometimes it does.

Well most questions asked here can simply be answered by using google.
This one can't.

But I guess if it bothers you guys, I'll be more sensitive in the future.

Occasionally it goes through even though it's not supposed too.

So just bring the bag(s) to the counter, and hope they don't charge you?

Also, I asked already but didn't receive an answer, can AA gc's be used to pay the baggage fee?
