I know of others like you.
It might be attributable to where you live, and your expectations from what should be a service industry.
I'm from the US originally so believe me, I know what to expect
I've had very negative experiences with US carriers, both short and long haul. Last time I flew Delta to Israel, the flight attendant spilled food and beverage on me *3* times throughout the flight, only apologizing once. I was not proactively offered any compensation, and my requests were denied. Haven't flown them since, going on a good 8 years now.
I've had flights cancelled on what was then US Airways with little notice, no offer to reroute, no lodging provided. Also delays. Again, have not flown them after the third time or so that things like that happened.
Maybe the US is just angry with me for leaving
