Mr. O'Leary was struck by another bit of airline ingenuity: When a first-class customer didn't show up, the group auctioned off the seat upgrade before pushing back from the gate.
Airlines SO should do this for increased revenue. Of course, those of us with elite memberships will likely get our complimentary upgrades slashed.
