Evolve Money – Online billpay service

Pay bills from Evolve’s list of payees, including mortgage, utilities, insurance and “store” credit card, e.g., Macy’s, Gap, Walmart (but NOT regular credit cards or store co-branded CC, like a Walmart Discover or BR Visa).

If a particular biller is not listed, you can try emailing Evolve to add it. They seem to respond quite quickly to inquiries, and they will ask you to send a copy of your bill. Some people have had success in seeing their billers added. The billers need to agree to be a part of some kind of Mastercard processing consortium, which may or may not work for you billers.

Daily dollar limits include:

$2,999.00 in payments, of which up to $999.00 may be funded by cash load packs
Individual bill pay dollar limits include:

$2,999.00 for a single bill funded by a debit card and/or credit card
$999.00 for a single bill funded by a cash load pack
Note: You cannot make more than $10,000 worth of payments per month for credit, debit, and cash load packs.

Monthly payment limits include:

4 payments per month per biller account number using a credit or debit card within the dollar limits listed above.
Unlimited number of payments per month per biller account number using a cash load pack within the dollar limits listed above.

Check with your bank whether they accept partial payments and payments made over a couple of days. (Paying over weekend might arrive on same day.) You will also want to be in touch with your bank the first month you do this to make sure that the payments don't automatically apply to principal, or that your automatic payment (if you have one) doesn't ALSO get taken out. Don't assume that your bank will handle everything perfectly without your involvement, and - especially the first month - make sure you have all payments in with a few days to spare at least so that they can sort it out without also having to worry that the payment will be late.

You can pay bills for no fee with REloadIt packs that can be purchased, Evolve Money credits and with a debit card from "major banks". There are reports that US Bank issued MGCs work fee free as well. Each card counts as one payment toward the four payment limit.

For a 3% fee you can pay with a Visa, MC and Discover CCs.

In the past there was a glitch and certain CCs did work. But after this was publicized, the glitch was closed.

How
Sign up.
Add new bill.
Then pay with a ReLoadit packs, debit, prepaid(?) or Gift Card(?).

Multiple accounts from your IP?
Nope I only have one account. I'm a bit embarrassed to say but so far I've only used the account legitimately. :))

I don't they shut me down, it lets me log in and then a second later I get a 500 error.

Does anyone here use evolve to pay a Honda lease -- and it worked and showed up as paid?

Is it this link?  "American Honda Finance Corp."  Or something else?

Haven't figured a way to use it yet. Besides for car lease (small $$) and mortgage (santander not listed) I pay all my bills directly with cc. Am I missing something?

I also don't get how it can be worth using a $500 OV/GC to pay a $47.68 bill today and then a $165.43 bill next week, etc. Have to always track how much you spent on the gc etc. Barf. Also, it poses just as much of a risk as using the gc for daily spending - no cc protection.

Wow, just read upthread from today. Ignore the quoted post ^

Still though, paying small bills with cc (my landlord is not listed on Evolve) is not so helpful for hitting spend thresholds.

Even with today's breakthrough I don't see how I can utilize it. I pay all my bills directly with cc, so why go around if can go straight.

Coned and National Grid charge a fee to pay with CC.  Evolve is fee free.  Not sure about the others.
