I did a 2 BM for Amex recently and they approved one and froze the other. They said their system automatically froze the second one for fraud safety and there was nothing they can do until after 5 days. I called 2 more times and got the same response.
After 5 days they said they couldn't approve it cause it was my 3rd application within 90 days and that I should call back in a few more days when my first application will be more than 90 days old. I called back and they recommended I just reapply since they never actually pulled the credit for the prior frozen application. I did and was approved.
i have said in the past, amex is hit or miss (or ymmv on this chain)
i did it for myself and only got one approved and they automatically put the others on hold
then 2 months later i did a 4bm for my wife and was successful
