Need a chesed done for me which includes Marriot, please...

I have no idea where to post this, as I didn't see any chesed threads.

I had a bunch of Marriot points taken out of my account due to inactivity. I asked Marriot if they can reinstate it and they said:

I am happy to be able to offer you CEC Points Reinstatement Challenge Offer.
An eligible Member (whose Marriott Bonvoy® Points have expired within the last 18 months) may register via CEC to complete 1 Qualifying Paid Stay in 90 days and get their expired Marriott Bonvoy® Points reinstated.
This offer is only valid one time for the life of a Member's Account.

But I am in Israel and don't plan on visiting any Marriots in the near future.

Is anyone visiting a Marriot location anytime soon and can add my name to the room, please?

You need to book it from your account and have them checkin as a 2nd guest

If it’s a lot of points and you want to take care of it asap, why not just book a cheap hotel near a family member or friend’s home, add them to the reservation, and have them check in (and out) for you?

You can certainly try to post in the Marriott certs thread or this thread to find someone to book with your name/account and add theirs as second guest, but if you’re concerned about timing, you can probably find a cheap hotel to book just for this purpose.

PSA: for anyone who has points expiring soon. One can purchase 1000 MR for $12.50 and extend the expiration by 2 years.
