While on the topic of annoying things at TLV and total dishonesty, we can mention the car rental experience, but we can also break down details:
Hertz telling me last time that Gold Lane service is only provided if booked directly on Hertz.com, only to find out that the service consists of nothing more than having one's name on the board. While they allow you to go to the counter in the lot, wait times there might be longer, as less agents work there, and people are waiting for their receipts after returning cars. Forget about just walking up to a car and driving away.
Add to that the Manadatory Third Party Liability shtick. If it's mandatory, why break it off from the rate, that would be like allowing you to rent a car but have to pay extra for the steering wheel. Never mind the fact that there's no way to find out what that rate would be other than reserving using a rate, and then asking how much for the Mandatory Liability. You wouldn't imagine that since it's liability insurance, the rate for it shouldn't vary based on the base rate (or possibly even the vehicle).
