Correct. The only time it may be worth it for her to use the Marriott card is when paying at the Marriott.

SP is the way to go!

Meanwhile she could transfer to Hyatt where they charge much less per room in general.

If your oldest account is only 2 months it's not safe.

just to clarify my oldest card that I am primary user is 2 months old. I have 2 AU from AMEX for 8 months.
what is suggested how long do I wait? What does my credit score need to be?

Amex wants me to send in the mail an original of my social security. Is this a normal procedure?

Did you mean to say an original copy? What about mail, not email? I would be wary of whoever is sending you that info.

i sent an application and they pit it on hold till i send this document. I called numerous times and everyone said that this document has to be an original. I have to mail it in to them and cannot send it in any other way ( fax email etc)

This is way obvious, but never ever send your original ssn in the mail. I would even be scared to send just a copy.

+1 I would never send my ss or a copy in the mail. Too many stories these days.

I never even carry my original. If you lose it you will lose half a day or more to get it replaced .
