@LevyE if all your charges is legit, file a complaint with the CFPB - www.consumerfinance.gov
I got a response back from Amex after I filed the complaint. I'm still in the dark.
"We’re writing in response to your recent correspondence to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. We closed your accounts with us in accordance with our terms.
We reserve the right to take action on accounts that do not comply with our terms. This action can include cancelling the account. According to your past account behavior, we have concluded that you have a pattern of not complying with our offer terms. We cancelled all of your American Express Cards with us on April 2, 2019 as explained in the enclosed emails sent to you on the same dates. You can review the full terms of your accounts by visiting us at americanexpress.com/agreements.
On April 3, 2019, we spoke to you about the cancellation of your account. We explained that after an account review we confirmed that you had used your Card at a merchant for items other than goods and services. We offered a call back and a supervisor called you back and explained the same. Regrettably, we were unable to provide you the name of the merchants.
We understand this isn’t your desired outcome, but we appreciate you allowing us to address your concerns.
Sincerely,
C. Vila
