I'm guessing that you don't live here and had no affordable choice in shopping since Brachs closed.

I'm curious if other stores will be forced to lower prices. I feel like they have enough loyal customers who won't switch that they won't feel the need

I noticed lower prices at kolsave 2 weeks ago. My wife noticed the same last week. Maybe it was just by chance but I wouldn't be surprised if the other store go down.

We will likely switch to bingo (from kol save, primarily)
Kol save took some time getting used to, where they actually didn’t carry some brands and stuff

Bingo is opening this Tuesday, Feb 13th, confirmed with manager.

Just remember, the only way to get the sale price is to buy the exact quantity. For "2 for $3", you must buy two. "8 for $3", you must buy 8 to get that price.

This store is much larger and nicer than their Brooklyn store. Also includes a Deli and Sushi department.

While in other local stores they have Israeli flags on certain items, I believe Bingo is primarily Israeli owned. It is a branch of Osher Ad and they carry more Israeli items than most Kosher supermarkets.

I’m mostly excited if the osem soup croutons are a normal price. We had to switch over to the much more inferior gefen croutons bc osem became prohibitively expensive (aside from sales etc.)

Same here. Although a few weeks ago it was really cheap at kol save. That leads me to think that they will be lowering their prices

Don't be fooled if they do!

When Kolsave first opened they promised everyone they will be a discount store with affordable prices. Rabonim urged them that we need affordable prices in town.

That lasted very short.

They don't know how to be cheap. I have found often when they offer good deals, the items are old and at athe end of their shelf life. I have seen that recently in both Kolsave and GG with their chumus, corned beef, yogurts and more. When they get a good deal on old product, sometimes they pass the savings along.

For the long term, we need Bingo.

Bingo has a track record.

They already have around 27 huge stores. This is their 4th in the USA.

They have a track record of keeping their prices down. They also carry many items our local stores do not carry.

Our local stores have been taking advantage of us with skyrocket pricing and small selection. The same stores located in Lakewood and even Brooklyn have a much better selection and prices are much lower. Have you ever shopped in GG in Brooklyn or Lakewood? Why are prices at those stores so much less than here?

I have been taking trips to Bingo monthly to stock up on chicken/beef and other products.  I am excited that I do not have to make those trips anymore. I am happy that this year I will not have to go to Brooklyn for my Purim and Pesach shopping.

From my experience, handful of shopping trips to bingo, zero customer service, some specials are crazy but regular pricing is nothing extraordinary.
