Baby is still in our room.
Crib is in one room and his bed is in another.
We first did mattress on floor next to crib, moved to a new room later. Gotta do it in stages.

when, how long does he nap for. IME that makes a huge difference. Also, I find that playing them a "tape" often distracts them enough and they'll fall asleep. Though at 1.5 he might be a tad too young for that.

10 minutes. You got off easy

If it was 10 minutes we would have done it ages ago....
We kept pushing it off because we thought it would take a long time and be very hard. Once we started it took us about a week to train him, though it felt a lot longer. I think in the beginning we went in to him about 3 times after waiting a very long 10 minutes. He learned really quickly bh. Now he sleeps about 12 hours. Next time..... We're doing this at 4 months old lol.
Also, if you do it early enough (-2y/o) the kid won't even remember this. So I don't think you should be too worried about trust issues.

Generally 2 hours a day, often less though.

If he's doing 2 hrs after 12:00, that will be a huge problem. Gotta shorten the nap.

How long until the kids are sent away to yeshiva ;)
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

4-year-old ingested about 10 mg of Melatonin. Anything to do about it, or just let them sleep it off?

I've heard that there is no danger in overdosing on Melatonin. I just wanted some practical advice to keep the kid's sleep schedule normal etc.
