LOL. Using an extra towel wastes money on gas and electric for laundry. The problem with wet feet is when I'm getting dressed. If I dry myself outside and use slippers, the slippers get wet and keep my feet wet. And it's not a complicated life everything is solved by doing one simple thing, drying inside the shower (feet is actually midair one foot at a time when stepping out).
And don't worry I have no problem stepping on dirty mats with bare feet I'm just pointing out the pros of drying inside.
@ChaimMoskowitz what do you hold now?
Start from the beginning. You use a towel every time you shower/bathe. Throw these towels in that load. If it's still an extra load, and you are nebach in a situation that you can't afford it, I'm sure we can start a campaign for you. If you use a towel, you're feet are dried by stepping on it. Issue avoided. When drying in the shower, I'd be surprised if your towel doesn't touch the soaking wet walls. The few times I've tried this, I'm left with a wet towel before I've really used it. If you only step on a Matt with clean feet, post shower, it will be clean for a lot longer.
