Selling GC tips.

Giftcardgranny.com and giftcardwiki.com are good aggregators for best rates. Be wary of selling on Ebay as buyer can put in a false claim that it was empty and you can get screwed.

Cardpool:
Verification: 415-419-8787 between the hours of 1230pm - 930pm ET. Have your order # ready.
Offers an extra 6% if taken in the form of amazon GC and will also pay quicker than a check.
If you haven't heard from them give them a call it may be stuck in verification. Large total value is a trigger.

GiftCardZen:
Will cancel the full sale if one of the GC are incorrect.

In general if an order gets cancelled, it's possible those gc are *tarnished* and you may have trouble unloading them. It is possible these sites communicate with each other in this regard as well. In this case you can do the PITA method of using the GC to buy/return items and get a new gc issue.

Looks like some states also require escheatment of abandoned cards.  So regardless of some amount of breakage that companies can recognize as forgiven liabilities (looks like most are after 4/5 years), they often don't even get to keep that $$, it goes to the state.

Anywho - while were were talking CardCash seems to have found that they are going to refund my $96 (it wasn't $97 my bad).  They didn't really give me an answer as to why, or if there is any protection to the sellers from BUYER fraud.  However, it looks like they are just going to eat the cost in the name of good CS and to keep me loyal.  So good on them for now!  Thanks CardCash!
well they lost me as a seller. I'm now with gift card zen. Takes a long payout, but a pleasure to deal with

what was your negative experience?
enforcing "policy" only when עס לוינט זיי.
I Sold them physical gift cards, by the time the got around to processing them, the sell price dropped, so the decided to pull their "no cards from third party sellers" policy.
Which that policy, basically there is no reselling of gift cards unless you yourself bought it straight from the vendor, which is hardly ever the case in the gc business.
I believe they are the only ones with that policy, and they themselves only enforce it when they will lose out in the purchase as in my case.

I think all similar websites if you say that you bought it on resell websites they won't accept the gc's.

The real question is why would you trust the original buyer?

What do you mean by "trust"? All companies verify the value of the card before buying.

This business is extremely risky because after you sell it the previous owner can still use it.
It enough for them to deal with 1 previous owner every additional owner increases the risk involved.

I understand, and that's why they take a credit card number. The risk of buying/reselling is on me.

Either way, if this was their enforced policy, I wouldn't have an issue with them, just that they should a) write it clearly on their site (and not the last paragraph of their fine print), and b) enforce it always, not only when it works for them.

The main gc biz is from buying/and reselling, that's what bulk sellers are, and why almost all gc companies have that option.

Just out of curiosity did you tell them where you got it?
Or they asked for proof of where you got it?

Why does raise ask for my ID? Any way to work it up so they don't cancel my orders?

Can I trust them with my ID? :-\

Still waiting for my check from gift card rescue from early December, they say it's on it's way, after I emailed the ceo
update: still waiting for a check from beginning of December. DO NOT EVER EVER EVER USE GIFT CARD RESCUE
Getting the same garbage every time, our processor mailed you check, it takes 10- 14 business days. NO other mail takes 10- 14 business days, they say for MS you have to be able to float whatever your MSing, Gift cards are with gift card rescue- you need to be able to float for 3 months.  sorry for the rant, but I am really frustrated and didn't have anywhere else to get support, (don't want to tell DW- we are waiting on a few months worth of tuition from some gift card company)

From cardcash

Unfortunately, we cannot proceed with the exchange at this time, as our system has flagged your order as high risk.

Your cards have not been exchanged and are now available for your personal use.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Please note:
Our customer care representatives do not have any additional information.

I ALOL at the last paragraph.
This was for code only gift card
Anyone have experience with this? Is the order considered high risk even if I mail it in?

Read upthread.... myself and others had serious issues with them. And yes. NEVER SELL TO THEM
