Yep, very common. Happens all the time. Especially when there is a crew delay, a new crew can show up at any moment and leave, even if the plane is empty...

Yes, but -1 for Erev Yom Tov, unless you can afford to miss it. Same for showing up late when delayed. Though not equal, both are risks.

I've been in two spirit planes but I've never flown spirit.
Both times it was BOS -ewr and I had a back up car rental reserved

If I'm solo, checked in with PRE/CLEAR lines open, and without checked bags, there's no way I'm getting to the airport earlier than T minus 45-60.

I've yet to miss a flight out of >1,000 DPs. Ahem @Something Fishy @whYME @aussiebochur @moish @chaim'l

But yes, take away any of those factors and the timeframe will shift.

no sharks... They didn't want to let us off the plane. If your at the gate they have to allow and I insisted.
They said once I get off I can't get back on..
Once I got off, they decided to offload everyone. I went to get a car. When I was passing ORH, I received a call from the gate that they're waiting for me to board.  Oh well...it was a nice x7.
When I was passing BDL I received a notification that my flight was cancelled I was rebooked the following day.
